Etched Glass Mural for the Trade and Enterprise Council
This is a large wall mounted etched glass mural done for the boardroom of the Trade and Enterprise Council. It is 144″ x 60″ and consists of 3 panels individually prepared and etched with acid. The frame is made from American light oak and the blue background is created by painting the wall behind the piece.

This black and white preliminary study shows the graphic content for the three panels with the middle one referring to the steel industry and cutlery making as well as the (newly built at the time) Don Valley Stadium. Education and theater are also shown. The outer panels use the image of the bridge over Ponds Forge roundabout along with other sporting and industrial references.

Old Queens Head Mural Project
The six photos below show some of the 70 meteres of mural work completed on the building hoardings around the site during the renovation of the old building.
Carefully prepared stencils were used to create the blue background. Marine ply boards have been painted with scenes representing the history and changing of ideas during the lifetime of one of Sheffield’s oldest buildings.
